How Recipe Card Works
Setting Up the Block
The Summary Tab
The summary is the basic information about the recipe, such as:
- Description of the recipe
- Who created it and when it was created
- How long it takes to make
- How many servings the recipe makes
The Ingredients Tab
On the ingredients tab, you can add as many ingredients as you need. For each one, you enter the Amount, the Measure and the name of the ingredient.
You may reorder the ingredients using the arrow on the left to drag and drop them.
You may delete an ingredient by clicking the 'x' to the right of the ingredient.
The Preparation Tab
On the preparation tab, you can enter the steps that will be needed to prepare the recipe. These steps will be presented as a numbered list.
You may reorder the steps using the arrow on the left to drag and drop them.
You may delete an steps by clicking the 'x' to the right of the ingredient.
The Images Tab
You can add images to this tab. The first image will show above the image as the 'final product', or what the recipe should look like when it's done.
The Options Tab
The options tab will allow you to change some of the verbiage associated with the presentation, such as changing 'Yield' to 'Serves' (as in 'Serves 8').
Behind the Scenes
When the recipes are shown on your site, they will be marked up in the hRecipe format. This allows search engines to parse the recipe and decypher it for presentation in search results.
