Ideas for a concrete5 SEO Addon

Motorcycle Engine

I've been a web designer for some time now and each and every one of my clients asks me about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Over the years, I have gathered information from various sources about what makes a website easy to find using a search engine, such as Google, Bing, or Yahoo.

To that end, I've been working on an SEO addon for concrete5 that will try to make all of this accessible to the site owner. Some of the things that are on the list are:

  • Missing meta-titles
  • Meta descriptions that are missing or too short
  • Keyword density within the content of the page
  • Content keywords that match the meta keywords
  • Canonical URLs using rel="canonical"
  • Authoritative author links using rel="author"
  • rel="next" / rel="prev" on pagination
  • Demonstration search engine snippets to show what the page might look like in a search engine

What are some other things that you'd like to see in an all-in-one owner-friendly SEO addon for concrete5? Let me know in the comments.

Update 11/22/2013: The Search Experience Optimization add-on is now available in the concrete5 marketplace.
